The brick is an ancient and enduring element of architecture around the world. simple clay hardened by the sun or fire, but versatile, artful and practical. With out micro bricks, construct a clock tower to explore the art, culture and science of the brick.
Learn classic patterns of paving and construction. Master the techniques of layout, precise corners, quoins and arches. Sculpt and embed a corner stone, a frieze and decorative bricks. Create people to give your tower scale and a story. Install a clock mechanism to honor a classic purpose of towers in communities.
Work with Mason Tony Izzo to create brick ballards that will become part of the Whitney Site documentation.
